A personal note

From Kanwardeep, the founder.

If you are reading this, there is a good chance that celiac disease has touched your life. Maybe you are living with it yourself. Maybe someone you love is. Or maybe you are still trying to understand why food seems to affect life so much more than people realize.

I wanted to write this note because before you trust Silver, before you read our stories, and before you decide whether this platform is useful, I think you deserve to know why this exists.

I am Kanwardeep. I built LiveWithCeliac. Not as a business idea. Not as a tech project. But because someone I love lives with celiac disease every single day. I have watched her navigate menus with anxiety. I have seen the quiet frustration when people do not understand. I have sat with her through the moments when eating feels like a battlefield instead of a joy. And I have seen the strength it takes to keep going anyway.

I am not a doctor. I am not a nutritionist. I am simply someone who cares deeply and has spent years learning, observing, and trying to make life a little easier for the person I love.

Silver was born from that same place. Not from a textbook. Not from a hospital. But from real lived experience, from countless meals shared, from mistakes made and lessons learned, and from the belief that technology can be warm, not clinical. That an AI can feel like a friend, not a machine. That guidance can come with empathy, not just facts. That living with celiac disease deserves more than a list of forbidden foods — it deserves understanding, patience, and companionship.

If you are here because you are newly diagnosed and overwhelmed, please know: you are not broken. You are not a burden. You are not defined by what you cannot eat. You are someone navigating a real condition with real challenges, and you deserve support that actually understands what that feels like.

If you are here because someone you love has celiac disease, please know: your patience matters. Your willingness to learn matters. Your presence at the dinner table matters more than you know.

And if you are here because you are still figuring things out, still asking questions, still sometimes feeling lost — please know: that is exactly where most of us started. And that is exactly why this place exists.

Take your time. Explore. Read. Ask questions. Use what helps. Ignore what doesn't. And whenever you are ready, Silver and the community will be here.
